Aero Products Company has worked with Shara Montana for over 20 years. We first began working with Shara when we wanted to implement ISO 9001, our first international quality management system. Over the years, we have upgraded our system to AS9100 and newer versions of the standards as they were released. Shara has worked with our team to make sure that all of our key staff have been properly trained on the changes, trained to do internal audits and conduct management reviews. Shara is “it” for Aero Products Company and the people here totally support and advocate that.

When we unexpectedly lost our president and other key staff members in 2018, we desperately needed help upgrading to AS9100 Revision D and streamlining our processes. Shara stepped in and didn’t miss a beat. I loved her pace and focus. She was the professional that I sorely needed to make sure that we could pass our upcoming audit. Westmont Industries specializes in design, manufacture, and installation of custom mechanical equipment and material handling systems. Westmont was in need of Quality Management assistance. Because of Westmont’s long-term government contracts, it was critical to maintain a strong Quality Assurance base and get the Quality Assurance program re-established at the new site.

Shara Montana was selected to establish the foundation for Quality Assurance at Westmont Industries’ Santa Fe Springs location. This project involved hiring new Inspectors and a new Quality Manager, establishing inspection and control systems to compliment the Santa Fe Springs location and new personnel, updating the Mil I 45208 inspection system to reflect actual practices, establishing relationships with customer representatives, and managing day to day quality issues.

She was able to step in immediately and work out compromises between various departments and customers. We were able to get our updated quality system recognized and approved by our Customer Representatives. Shara helped us to lay the groundwork for our quality department to mature and grow. Our quality system didn’t just maintain status quo, it improved significantly. From the MIL I 45208 quality system we were able to develop an ISO 9001 quality management system and get registered in only 8 months.

As Westmont was working toward ISO 9001 registration, the ISO management team discovered they were having difficulty refining and implementing the new procedures. The Quality Manager brought Shara Montana back to provide Internal Auditor Training.

Shara’s familiarity with our quality system and the requirements of ISO enabled us to learn how to examine our procedures to ensure that they were compliant and reflect our actual practices. By involving our entire management team in the training, we were able to expedite implementation. Our auditors are now eager to assist in continuously improving the way we do business.
